In connection with the emergency regime announced in the city of Vladivostok due to bad weather conditions that arose from 18.11. in the Port of Vladivostok, the operation of the VMCT, VMTP and other terminals was stopped (work on handling the fleet, loading containers onto railway wagons, loading and unloading operations, etc. were stopped). Telegram of JSC Russian Railways No. ISKH-25204 dated 19.11.2020. also introduced restrictions on the loading of all cargo (except food) from all stations of the Russian railways to the addresses of all consignees destined for the station of the Far East Railway.
Due to the impossibility of unloading at the VMKT terminal (Fish Port) due to an emergency (including, due to a complete power outage, terminal icing, etc.), the PACIFIC GENEVA vessel (flight 0073W) was unloaded at the PJSC VMTP terminal (Commercial port ), the ship SKY PRIDE (voyage 2021N) was unloaded not at the VMPP terminal (Pervomaysky port).
Due to the extremely difficult situation that has developed in the Commercial Port and at the VMPP due to weather conditions, it is impossible to ship containers from these vessels from PJSC VMTP and VMPP directly to the railway, it is necessary to export them only by road.
In this regard, additional costs will arise for the delivery of these containers to the VMKT terminal (costs for sorting, auto removal, additional terminal costs associated with shipment by car).
Since these costs have arisen due to weather conditions and refer to force majeure, we will be forced to re-charge these costs to the Clients at the terminal rates.
